Embarked on Packet for Eastport, Miss. arrived on 7th Jan Disembarked and encamped, remained at Eastport until Feb 9th. Embarked for New Orleans with fleet of Detachment Army of the Tenn. Arrived at Vicksburg on Feb 15, Disembarked and encamped 4 miles East of the city, remained until 19 Feb. reembarked and arrived in New Orleans Feb 21, 1865. Distance marched 44 miles. RECORD OF EVENTS Remained encamped South of the City of New Orleans until Mch 6/65 when the command was detailed to guard transportation of 2nd R__ 16 A.C. Marched to race course 2 miles north of the city and remained until 22nd Mch when the command embarked on Lake Str Kate Dale proceded to the mouth of Veeks Bay. reshipped on Steamboat Reserve and proceeded up Fish River to the encampment of 16th Army Corps disbarked Mch 24, were engaged in various skirmishes near Blakely Ala and engaged in the storming of Fort Blakely Apr 9, marched from Blakely, Ala. 13th Apr through Greenville to Montgomery, ALa. where the command arrived 27th April.
