3" REMNANT of REGIMENTAL FLAG  

John Comstock's great-grandson was told
that at the final mustering-out on April 19.1866,
the regimental colors were divided up and distributed
amongst the remaining men as souveniers.

This section of fringe was
John Comstock's piece of the flag.
